Miranda Fashionista

Coming this winter in many shades of pink:
Miss Miranda Fashionista
With her striped winter hat, too fun tutu, Mary Jane Crocs, &
go-with-everything (literally) pearls, Miranda always makes
a statement. Seen here with NaNa, Miranda is letting the world
know that she dresses herself and is proud of it!

Hi, everybody.
Today was a great day! Mommy & Daddy picked me up from school and took me right to the mall to ride the coolest Christmas train ever. I was so excited.
Love, MK

Where are the presents?

I keep wishing and hoping and thinking and praying,
planning and dreaming...when do the presents show up?

Thank goodness for Aunt Deborah who brought over a BUNCH of presents on Friday. Deborah tried to explain that gifts aren't for opening until Christmas, but that didn't stop me from taking all the bows off and tearing into one -- heh, heh, heh! Of course, Bah (Mommy) and Humbug (Daddy) have now hidden the presents, so I can't open anything else until the BIG DAY!

Thanksgiving Fun

I had so much fun playing with my Auntie Julie (JuJu) over Thanksgiving. Mommy and Daddy helped me make a show about all of our fun activities. We're a little behind on posts because our modem needed to be replaced. We're back in action now.

Please click the arrow and turn on your speakers. This movie has some snappy music to go with the pictures. xo MK

'Tis the Season

Dear Santa,
Do you read blogs? I hope so.
If you are reading this, please know that
I really like to say "no," move quickly in the opposite
direction of my parents, and have very rare
temper tantrums. As you know,
this is all part of being a toddler. I am a
VERY GOOD GIRL
despite some of the "challenges" I listed
above. Please don't hold these
developmentally appropriate behaviors against me
as you make your gift-giving decisions this year.
Love,
Miranda Kate
p.s. I can't wait to visit you at the mall.

Miranda @ The Zoo

We went to the zoo this weekend. Miranda thinks giraffes roar. She also thinks flamingos are pink ducks. We think we'll be returning to the zoo very soon. We loved it!

What can I get into today?
It is 7:10 AM on a Saturday.
How am I going to get out of this one?

Sleeping Beauty

I was so sleepy from trick or treating that I missed my usual 7 o'clock wake up call. I decided to hit snooze and let Mommy snap a few shots of me catching Z's. Awww.

I'm on the phone!

We're getting glimpses of Miranda's adolescence on a daily basis.

Game Day Goings On

Look at me!
I can rush with a ball, too.
Pretty in Pink
These colors are certainly as cool
as orange and blue, right?
Hi, Daddy.
Don't be down because the Gators
are having a rough time on TV.

Little Renoir

I am loving my crayons these days. I worked on this masterpiece for a whole night! MK

Cake Walker

Miranda really enjoyed participating in the "cake walk" at school with some older children. She stomped her feet to the music and walked around the circle with a perma-grin. Oh, brother!

Baby's First Tattoo

We took Miranda Goose to her first Fall Festival at "school." She loved every bit of it EXCEPT the part when her teacher put a Dora the Explorer temporary tattoo on her arm. If the look of concern doesn't tell the story, she keeps trying to cover it with her hand and grimaces when she looks at it. We can only hope she will carry this disgust through young adulthood and that it will generalize to piercings, too. : )

I like to eat eat eat...apples and bananas!

I am working on my spooning and forking daily. I still like to make a giant mess with my food though! xo MK

Sneaky Snake

My parents are learning that when things get quiet...really, really quiet...it probably means I'm not doing what they think I am doing. This morning, I snuck off with their ChickFilA bag. They thought it was empty, but the bottom had some extra tots that I feasted on and tried to share with Elmo. When they heard me making yummy sounds, they realized I was doing more than playing with an old paper bag. I'll have to work on making softer "mmmm" sounds in the future.

Walk the Line

Mommy doesn't know it, but I like to put on her shoes and pretend to be her. I almost have "her" down pat except for the part about wearing pants.

My Turn!

I am going through a phase (they hope). When Mommy needs to use her computer, I like to sit in the chair at the desk. When Daddy is at the sink, I must wedge myself between him and the sink. If they are doing anything, it suddenly becomes my turn to be attended to. That's my rule. I like to call it "Miranda's Rights."

Cookie Monster

Well, this is Miranda Goose's first Oreo. I think it should probably be her last based on the amount of it on the face, in the hair, and in the...ears. So much Oreo found its way under Miranda's nails that she looked like a mechanic, according to her father.

POP Goes Miranda Goose!

Greetings from my new favorite hiding place! I really like to sink into to the bottom and pop out when people come looking for me. Hee Hee.

Whadya'll Have?

So we are having some trouble keeping the posts coming. We'll get better at this -- I promise. Daddy got some new hats for me to wear when I play with my kitchen. I specialize in slaw dogs with a side of donuts. : ) xo MK

Peek-A-Boo...we're trying something new!

Hi, everyone. We hope this posting is a success. We have been enduring lots of technology changes at our casa due to computer crashes and ongoing Microsoft drama. We think this might be a new way to keep in touch, so you can see not-so-little Miranda grow. Please let us know what you think. We will still try to send the slideshows, but that's hard for us right now.
We miss you and love you a bunch.
Lauren, Randy, & Miranda Kate
