Miranda, Songbird and Hairstylist?

Well, the director of Miranda's school called today to explain that she gave herself a haircut. It was a good thing that she called ahead. I went in mentally prepared. They showed me the 4 inch long "giant" wad of hair that she successfully cut out before they were able to intervene. However, we have now been together for several hours, and she apparently cut the chunk out from underneath because the haircut is not obvious. I'll keep you updated, but I don't have any horrific pictures to share about that.
Miranda did decide to sing the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. song she learned at school, and I was able to capture the performance for your viewing pleasure. I think she's saying, "Dr. King, he's my leader. Dr. King, servant leader. Dr. King, Dr. King, he had a dream." I think that's it. Enjoy.

Glimpses of Toddlerdom

Not many smiles after this one.
Sadly, this was the first one.
She still likes to take a naked flying
leap into her bed post bath.
It's just a Miranda thing.
I like to call this one
"Cheeky Monkey."
Are there acorns in them?
Miranda

The Boss

The Know It All

She Who Points Out The Obvious
Take your pick.
Ambush photography
toddler-style.
They really don't care about angles or
if you're wearing makeup. Drat!
I think this is an instant classic.
Notice the locale...one of the few
places I can get her to sit still.
As for my directions, I did not request a smile.
I said give me your meanest look.
Mission accomplished.
She went all gangsta' on me.

Hard To Pin Down

The Goose is on the Loose!

Smile much?

Loving Mommy's shoes AND socks these days.

Play that funky music, white girl!

Taking pictures of the floor and ceiling mostly these days.

We love Aunt Deborah and Uncle Jeff for the fabulous horn they put on Miranda's bike. It makes such a pleasant sound that we have decided to return the favor. Not sure when or how at this point, but you guys should wear a raincoat to bed.
