Safety First

Because watching TV...

can be very dangerous.
She is growling at me.
That's Miranda for "leave me the %&#@^ alone."

Rain Boots

It has been raining here for what seems like
7 days and 7 nights. Miranda jumped on the rain boot
bandwagon today. She thinks they go with EVERYTHING.

When you're 3, they DO go with EVERYTHING.

Bedtime Serenade

Not the smoothest rendition I heard all night, but still really sweet.

Catching Up With Miranda

There is no method to the madness.
These are the captured moments of the week.

Miranda totally digs her new sandtray
from the wonderful Cat, Evie, and Will who
knew she'd love it.

Ever smile so hard you thought your
cheeks might crack?

Shish Boom Bah!

I don't like Monkey Joe.

Glimpses of Miranda's Party
Monkey Joe coming to wish Miranda a Happy Birthday.
Some kids love him. Some kids don't.
Our girl does not.
This is Miranda reaching for Daddy as
Monkey Joe approached.
She has probably told us 20 times since Saturday
that she does NOT like Monkey Joe.
She also asks if he'll be at Publix, in her room, or
at school. Oh, dear.
This is the look of relief after Monkey Joe left.

Rory just likes cake and ice cream.

Jason liked the food, too.
Michael and Andrew caught up over cake.

The Big Moment.
We hoped she'd "blow" it.

How is she three already?
I call this one "Still Miranda."
It was the only time she was still all day.

The fabulous "Vicky-Toria!"
That's what Miranda calls her.
We love her for being a girl.
Miranda's class is a giant testosterone fest.
Boy, boy, boy, boy, boy, girl, boy, boy...
you get the picture.

Miranda in Motion

Matty in Motion

Those boys love her.
Look at Andrew.
He waited for her to make to the top.
Awww.
The other man in Miranda's life.
Some of the adults played, too.

The games were a big hit.
Matthew T. brought his sister, Ashley.
We love her, too.
She's like Miranda's big sissa.
I know.
I couldn't get anyone to look at me all day.
Miranda showing the love to Jason.

Lots of special people came to see Miranda.

That place is so fun.

This was Miranda's favorite part.
Shooting hoops.
This group of kiddos has talent.

Old tennis ball calves herself.
From 2 years of walking on her toes.
Tip Toe. Tip Toe. Tip Toe.

A little bit of the action.
It is a "bouncy" place after all.

Thursday Outing with Mimi & Papa

Mommy & I took Mimi and Papa to the park in Lilburn today.
We had so much fun playing that Mommy forgot to take pictures.
She remembered when Papa decided to show me the tennis courts.

Papa told me all about the courts, tennis, and how he used to
watch Aunt Julie play when she was little.

He even took me on the court. Look! I could catch a tennis ball
in my mouth. Don't you think???

Papa told me where to stand, and we played "pretend" tennis.

This is a picture of me opening a special present from
Aunt Julie. It was so shiny and pretty, but that didn't stop me.

Aunt Julie sent me some pretty things that I put right on.
Can you see my tag? I ran to the computer to send Aunt Julie
a thank you message. Look how good I am at the computer these days.

Mommy can't really believe how grown up I look in this
picture, but I am working on my fourth birthday now.
Can you see the "sprinkles" on the collar of my shirt?
Thank you for the beautiful gifts, Aunt Julie.

My 3rd Birthday - School Style

Miranda, Queen for Today

Mimi, Miss Monica, and Mommy made sure everyone had juice.

Papa took pictures and posed for some, too.

This is Mommy's favorite picture -- we were having an
eye to eye moment. Awww.

Flash from the Past
2008 School Birthday Party

Fast Forward to 2009
What a difference a year makes, but its almost the same picture.

Mimi tried my crown on -- funny Mimi.

Having "grown up" talks with Mimi.

I hated all the attention. Yeah, right!

The Tundra, Part 2

These are the freaks who decided our front lawn was a public
park. Two adults and three children got out, posed for numerous
pictures, and threw snowballs at each other. Really, people???

The Japanese Maple that Randy just pruned looks
pretty but awfully cold.

The backyard once the snow stopped flying.
Not bad for Georgia.

Monday AM:
Everything that isn't covered with snow is covered with...
ICE. Lots of it.
Our snowman, 50 Cent, put on a few more
inches since we made him.

Randy leaving. Lots of salt. Lots of fingers crossed.

Snow Jam 2009

My guess is that this is Part 1 because we're only an hour
or so into a multi-hour event here in Atlanta.

Good times with a new friend.

Awwww...

Frankly, it looks more like "Schmoo" than a snowman, but
I was the only one around old enough to remember who Schmoo is.

This snowball was being thrown at me...rather well,
don't you think?

Up to no good in this shot.

Look at the size of the flakes!

A little father-daughter snowball making lesson.

Daddy actually hit Miranda with that one, but I missed
the shot. She was NOT happy. She turned around and scowled.
Snowball? What snowball?

Checking out the new front yard.

Holla' for Snow Jam 2009!

You wouldn't believe it, but it snowed in the backyard, too.

Baby wants more snow!
Action shots.
